Julia's career spans theatre, live production, television, themed hospitality, murals, and immersive experiences — built across more than a decade of work at some of the most recognized institutions in American performance and design.

Originally from Boston, she began her career freelancing at theatres across Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Virginia, New Jersey, California, and Arizona, while taking on scenic design, art display fabrication, fashion week displays, and event scenic elements. Her early New York credits include faux finishing work inside One World Trade Center in 2015, and scenic painting on The Last OG with Tracy Morgan at Silvercup Studios.

On stage, Julia has contributed to productions that have left a lasting mark on American theatre. At New York Theatre Workshop, she worked on the original Hadestown — the show that would go on to win eight Tony Awards — as well as Lazarus, David Bowie's final theatrical work, and Othello starring Daniel Craig. Her regional theatre credits include Scenic Charge Artist for the Texas Shakespeare Festival from 2017 to 2019, and Cirque du Soleil's Paramour on Broadway.

From 2017 to 2021, Julia served as Paint & Props Supervisor and Instructor at Arizona State University, where she taught and led scenic art and prop courses and workshops — a practice she has continued in programs and institutions across the country.

In 2021, she expanded her practice into digital work, bringing the same precision and visual instinct to her role as Email & Digital Graphic Designer for Mi-Pod / Mi-One Brands, a position she held through spring 2026.

Rogue Scenic began as a freelance practice born out of necessity — and grew into something more deliberate. Working independently means the ability to set the right conditions for consistently high-quality work across every medium and scale.
